Duranta erecta also known as Golden Dewdrop, Pigeon Berry and Sky flower, is a species of flowering shrub in the verbena family Verbenaceae. This is a healthy, thick evergreen shrub with a small base.The drooping clusters of tubular, lavender-blue showy flowers and Dangling orange-yellow fruit chains make it a attractive addition to gardens and draw butterflies and colibris from the blossoms. It is commonly grown in tropical and subtropical gardens all over the world as an ornamental plant, and has become naturalized in many areas.
